Been rather busy here over the last few weeks. Have been working on a lap quilt. So far I love it. It was made up from a layer cake. Must admit it is something I have not used before but it sure has made my life a lot easier.

Number 1 UFO of the Year Finished
A good start or the start of the year number one UFO is finished. Made from scraps from the bit bag and the wooden box given as part of my Christmas box has now been made into a nice work or storage create.
Now need to decide what I shall finish next. Have quite a few to have a choice from. Last count there was 17 and that will grow as I find more. Well had better get down to some work here until the next time happy sewing, knitting or whatever you might be doing.

UFO NUMBER 1
The start of a new year 2016. Boy where did the last year go? Must have blinked and missed it!!
So today decided to start and get one UFO finished today. Well all good plans sometimes do not happen. Did not get it finished, things always take longer than you think. However got some of it done which I am very pleased and I am very happy with it so far. The pieces are 2 inch squares out of my rag bag. Already had the squares cut before I started today. Got them sewn up ready for the next stage, which will be wading and backing together then quilt it all. Hopefully with one or two ideas I have in my head means that hopefully it will be looking good when finished. The wooden create was given as part of a gift and the fabric was fabric left over from other projects. So by the time it is finished it was have cost very little and have not been out to buy anything for it. Meaning that I have saved a lot of money as well.
Also this year I want to have less waste in food or anything else as well as doing more home made cooking. So to day made my own bread and the left over bread that had gone pass it time made a bread pudding with it. Even if I say so myself I was rather pleased with the outcome have 6 deserts now and that is a good thing. Looking forward to having some as part of my evening meal.

Yesterday decided to start getting organise by sorting all my craft stuff out. Wondering now if it was a good idea, as by the end of yesterday afternoon I was sitting in the middle of the sitting room floor with all sorts of stuff around me having just a little melt down. As well thinking should I have started this now, at this time of the year. I knew that I had a lot of fabric, wool etc. However now realise that I have far more than I thought.
So far I have clean out a chest of draws and got them much more organises. such as patterns in one draw. Felt in another and so one.
Have also filled one crate with fabric and ordered some more so waiting for them to be delivered.
This photo is just a very, very small part of fabric that I have and I have not even started on the wool.
Guess this is going to take longer than I though. But should make my life so much easier in the long run. Will not be spending wasting time looking for something. Guess I had better get sorted and get the day under way.

TO START 2016 CRAFTING AND EVERY DAY LIFE.
This year is nearly out and it has gone so quickly for me. So I am now looking forward to 2016 and a new start.
Have been saying to friends and family that I need to get myself really organised for next year as already there are dates in the diary for events. So I know that 2016 is going to start with a bang for me.
Also what I would like to do is to de-clutter my home. I have so much wool, fabric and other crafting stuff that I have decided that I must use as much as possible before I buy any more. Now that is going to be a challenge for me as I love anything I can work with and when I see something I just have to buy it.
So that is another challenge for me saving money wonder if I am up for this challenge. Now that would be wonderful if I can.
Another thing that I would love to do which I think will save me lots is going back to basics so feed up with the way I am living in respect of everyday living. So some home cooking and the such is high on my list of things to do. This coming year.
Now I wonder if I can keep to everything hope so will find out as next year goes along.
